I want to learn some Egyptian Arabic before going to Aswan for the sixth time this coming winter. At the moment I know none. I am a language teacher myself (of German and French) which may or may not be helpful! I should like to be able to conduct simple conversations , and cope with common social situations - but I think that I will flounder unless I have an understanding of the basic grammar : I am not much good at parroting. I am happy to give five or six hours a week to this.

I am at a beginner level and need to learn the language from the bottom up, from grammar to advanced conversation. I'm looking for a female tutor to teach me Arabic over a period of 3 months. I want to learn the language not only to converse with family and friends but also for reading and writing abilities. I'm an absolute beginner and require a humble, dedicated and well educated or fluent Arabic teacher. I'm looking to dive straight into learning and would like to dedicate a generous amount of hours per week to learning. Probably 3 x 1 1/2 hourly sessions.
