Hello,
I can speak punjabi fluently but I've found in recent because of lack of use, my skills are decreasing and I struggle to make proper sentences. I would like to improve my conversationa l proficieny and possibly learn the basics of the written language. I am looking to spend about 1-2 hours a week over a couple of months. I'm looking for a teacher who can explain the details of the language and help me understand the rules.

Hi!
I am looking to learn Punjabi as my boyfriend of about 2 years is Punjabi. He grew up here and stuff and we speak english at home but we watch all kinds of Indian movies and indian TV and we listen to Indian Music and I feel I am losing something in the translation. Also, and most importantly, I cannot really follow a conversation at Desi Jams or when his family ia all together. Although they all speak perfect english, they do not do so when they are together and i really want to be able to at least understand what's going on. I am also supposed to go meet his family in India and his grand mother does not speak English and I really want to be able to speak with her.
I want to have at elast 1 lesson per week and I will practise at home with my boyfriend as well. I want to learn how to converse with a Punjabi person, I do not need to learn how to read or write it.

I am very interested in learning either the Hindi or Punjabi language. I wanted to learn a second language and chose one of these languages. I would like to be able to converse with people who speak these languages, as well as learn to read it. I have found that many new immigrants to Canada who havn't learned English rely heavily on relatives to communicate with those providing services. I feel it would be an asset to this growing community in Kamloops, as I would be able to serve them better in my job.
I am looking for someone who resides in Kamloops and whose native language is either Hindi or Punjabi, and perhaps has experience in teaching or tutoring professionall y.
