Description |
My name is Kirsty and I living and working in Glasgow. I recently graduated from Glasgow University with a 2.1 honours in Nursing Studies. I am currently employed at the Southern General. Since completing my studies I have been looking to explore new interests in my new found free time!
I studied French to Standard Grade level. Unfortunately , I have no knowledge of Italian.
I would like to be conversationa l in the language and then, perhaps, take things from there. One to two hours per week would be that most that I could afford to study.
Qualities that I would hope to find in a language tutor would be the ability to discipline my learning as well as making lessons enjoyable. Honesty with regards to progress would be much appreciated. Passion felt for the language by the tutor would hopefully serve to further motivate the student.
T hank you for taking the time to read this message.Kind Regards
Ki rsty Buchanan

Dear Tutor's. My name is Pat Hampsey I am the Scottish Union Learning Fund Strathclyde project co-ordinator for the Fire Brigades Union. The project is a partnership agreement between the FBU and Strathclyde Fire Brigade, I have recently completed giving a presentation of the fund to all employees of the Fire Service within the Lanarkshire area at which many employees expressed an interest in learning a variety of languages, the project is at present being rolled out to employees within Central Glasgow and will eventually cover all employees of the Fire Service in the Strathclyde Region. I would be interested to hear from Tutors who would be willing to teach evening classes within Fire Stations at Beginner or Introductory Level. Costs would obviously have to be discussed as would class sizes.

Hello I am searching for a teacher who will be able to provide private lessons of the Norwegian language in Glasgow, Scotland. I am a complete beginner in terms of the stage that I am at with the Norwegian language however I am keen to learn Norwegian. The reasons for wanting to learn Norwegian are that first of all I have Norwegian friends that I met while at Gerlev Idraetshojsko le in Denmark and I would like to communicate with them in in their own language. While the other reason that I want to learn Norwegian is that in order to be accepted to the Norwegian University of Sport and Physical Education in Oslo, Norway I have to have a good command of the language. Th e areas of the language that I would want to cover would be all of them from speaking, read ing, listening, writing. The amount of time that I would be dedicating to the language lessons would be a full year starting from July 2005 to July 2006. I would like to have 3 lessons per week lasting two hours for each lesson. The qualities that I am looking for in a teacher would be a person who wants to teach and tutor and who is enthusiatic and motivated in helping me achieve my goal. I would also hope that the teacher would also provide encouragement and motivation so as to make the language lesson a more comfortable environment to learn in. As concerns the lessons I would hope they are lively with lots of time to have conversations in the Norwegian language and tasks to help my proficiency in all areas of learning a language.
Lastly I would like to say that I am completely serious and commited to learning the Norwegian language and I know that there has to be a teacher out there somewhere who wants to help me achieve my goal.

Description |
Dear Sir or Madam.
I am looking for a Sindhi teacher who is able to instruct me from a beginners level to develop an advanced understanding of the language. I am a freelance journalist with a particular interest in South Asian issues, and feel that Sindhi has now become essential for my future career development. I have worked for 15 months in Sindh province and am already fluent in Urdu. The time I spent there instilled in me a real passion for Sindhi life and culture, and long term, I would like to live and work in this part of the world. Ideal ly, I would prefer my lessons to be conducted in person, and would be willing to travel a reasonable distance. I have a mild visual impairment, and so may require lessons in audio formats or in Braille if possible. Reading and writing Sindhi are not particularly important as I am a Braille user, but a spoken fluency is essential. I am enthusiastic with real commitment and motivation to this area, and I am also a very quick learner. At this stage, I would be able to commit around 4 or 5 hours per week to studies, but this may change depending on future work commitments.
I am keen to commence study immediately, so I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Best regards, Ros hni Noor Ali.
