I am a beginner, but know few words in Amharic. I know the fidel (alphabet) and can read them also. My only problem is speaking. I really want to learn Amharic because I go to the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and there are many Ethiopians here that I don't understand so much. Me and my wife recently adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia and want to ensure that he grows up knowing where he came from (culture/lang uage). Not only that but I would like to learn the language as well so that we can learn together.
He is too young right now but I would like to get a heads start but not dedicate too many hours until he himself can learn with me.

I am flexible on the time that is required, and would like to discuss a schedule with the language instructor.
