Hi, I would love to learn Greek! It has been my dream since a young girl to one day live and work in Greece. I have zero proficiency with the language, and would be interested in joining a group (on site) to learn. I would be able to dedicate either one to two nights a week (or perhaps on my two days off from work in a week) to learning, but would need to schedule it around my full time job.
I would like someone patient, experienced, and practical, in terms of a tutor. I am so eager to learn!

I am moving to Iraklio for 2 months from July 30 - September 30. I have started Pimsleur audio for Greek but feel like having a tutor would be very beneficial for me and help me to learn faster and have better luck with my accent. I currently only speak English and very basic Spanish.

Why you are learning your foreign language (e.g., career advancement, etc.)- I reconnected with my father who is Greek (and currently lives in Athens) about 10 years ago. Over the last few years I have been spending more and more time in Greece and will eventually have to manage business matters on behalf of my family. I have learned slowly through some sporadic immersion. I also have been utilizing the Rosetta Stone system but have only completed a very basic level.
Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.)- I have a basic understanding of many words and phrases but still consider myself a beginner.
The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. - grammar, pronunciation , conversation
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. - 3-5 hours per week.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. - I would like a teacher who will provide structure and allow me to build on my current knowledge. My goal is to become conversationa l within one year.
