I would like to learn how to speak and write in the Thai language. I am interested in learning Thai because I would like to relocate to Thailand and be able to comminicate with the Thai people. Why you are learning your foreign language (e.g., career advancement, etc.)- I reconnected with my father who is Greek (and currently lives in Athens) about 10 years ago. Over the last few years I have been spending more and more time in Greece and will eventually have to manage business matters on behalf of my family. I have learned slowly through some sporadic immersion. I also have been utilizing the Rosetta Stone system but have only completed a very basic level.
Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.)- I have a basic understanding of many words and phrases but still consider myself a beginner.
The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. - grammar, pronunciation , conversation
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. - 3-5 hours per week.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. - I would like a teacher who will provide structure and allow me to build on my current knowledge. My goal is to become conversationa l within one year.
