I am a beginner and would like to learn conversationa l Hindi. I am going to India in October 2006 for vacation. I am a linguist and have studied 5 foreign languages, including Russian. I would like to spend 1 hour a week for the next 6 months.
I am a visual learner so I would like to use a blend of written and audio materials. I would also need some flexibility in the class schedule due to my travel schedule. Thank you.

Hello,
My proficiency level is beginner. But still I learnt how to read Hindi (even if I don't understand what I'm reading.
I'm working in India since March and I will stay here for a long time.
The reason for wich I would like to speak Hindi is because my boyfriend's mother doesn't speak english at all and it's really important for me to communicate with her.
I can dedicate twice or trice a week in learning Hindi, but of course it depends on how much you will charge.

I am a beginner, and I have learned no Hindi at all, so I'm a beginner. I would like to learn Hindi becuase I am planning on having a career where I will need to know many languages and I am preparing for that. I am also planning on spending some time in India. I absolutely have to learn hindi. i am engaged to an Indian and I want to be able to talk to my future in-laws who don't speak any English. I swore to him that I would learn his mother toungue. I am a beginner. I know a few words. I hope to have a nice patient qualified teacher who will teach me grammer and how to hold conversations . I want to dedicate 4 hours per week to my studying.
