I have studied Hindi and Urdu for about a year at the University of California, Santa Cruz and at the Landour Language School in Mussoorie, India. i would consider myself at an intermediate proficiency level in both languages.
I am interested in learning these two languages, among other south asian languages, in order to find work abroad and relate to other cultures.
I think i need improvement on my grammatical knowledge, reading, and conversation, especially vocabulary.
I would like to meet with a teacher at least 3 days week for a minimum of one hour. but i am willing to meet more often and for longer periods of time.
I am looking a teacher with an adequate knowledge of hindi/urdu vocabulary and grammar rules. one who will focus on oral grammar drills,readin g stories, conversation and, perhaps, dictation from readings.
