Hello I am a beginner with the Thai language. I just spent 2 months in Thailand for the first time and really enjoyed it. The country is beautiful and I loved the culture, food, and people. I plan to be returning next year and would like my conversationa l skills to be better. I have about 9 months before I go back. One the qualities in a teacher I would be looking for would be patience. I tried learning some of the language on my own but it was a very slow process. I am motivated to learn and with some instruction I am sure I can do better.

Hello,
I lived in Suratthani, Thailand for one year from 1996-1997 as an exchange student. When I left, I was conversant in Thai and was beginning to learn to read and write. I will be returning to Thailand for three weeks in May for my host sister's wedding, and I would like to refresh my conversationa l skills before I return. I am interested in spending 1-2 hours per week in lessons, probably beginning in February 2009. It would be helpful if my teacher could provide me with exercises so that I could practice outside of the lessons.

I am a beginner in the Thai language.
I plan to move to Thailand within the next few years and wish to have some proficiency in the language before I arrive.
I spend considerable time self-educatin g with the Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone programs as well as the Poomsan Becker cds, but I need someone to converse with and to judge my pronunciation .
I hope to find someone willing to tutor in my home, once or twice a week. Professional teaching credentials or even experience is not required, but I would prefer someone who speaks Thai as their native, or first language.

Hello, I'm a college student interested in learning Thai. I'm currently in Seattle for holiday break, but I'm usually in Walla Walla, Washington studying as a full time student at Whitman College. I'm a beginner interested in learning thai in order to communicate with family and friends in Thailand, and to pursue a future career there. I'm unsure about your resources in Walla Walla, but I would be more than happy to dedicate 2-4 hours per week while I'm in Seattle until the 18th, and when I return home for future breaks.
