I want to learn other languages because I feel it is important to be able to understand each other. I would love to travel around the world one day and make new friends. I understand it is helpful in the working well, too, but my main reason is to communicate well with others.
I am barely a beginner at speaking Finnish, but I am sincerely determined to become proficient and fluent. Therefore, I need help to improve on everything about the language. It is really hard to learn on my own, but I try in between classes, before and after work, and even while I travel to and from home. I would like to have a stable class room with an actual teacher, but that may be difficult since the closest Finnish teacher is in NYC. However, I will make do with modern technology.
I need a teacher who can thoroughly explain his or her lessons. They must also be patient with me when I ask questions. I have recently found out I have a listening-com prehension disorder and my mind tends to wander a little, but I have a strong desire to put my whole heart into learning Finnish.

Dear Sir/ Mdm,
We are two ladies (one Singaporean and one Indonesian) who both have Finnish husbands. We are very serious in wanting to engage a good and professional Finnish tutor to teach us Finnish language in order to facilitate our communication with our in-laws and extended families back in Finland as they do not speak any English language.
We both do not have any prior lessons and hence need to start off at the beginner level, mainly focusing on conversation. Our objective is to be able to communicate and hold a decent conversation smoothly and have set a target time frame of 3 months (till end of June) to acheive this goal. Ideally, we will like to have 2-3 lessons per week on weekdays, each lessons ranging between 1.5 hours to 2 hours, of course, it is also very much subjected to what the tutor feels is most
appropriate and suitable for us both. Lessons will be semi-private with 2 students to be delivered at either one of our apartments.
Potential tutor should have a minimum of 5 years experience in teaching/tuto ring adults Finnish language ranging from beginner to intermediate level. He or she should possess a friendly and patient attitude with students, along with creativity in delivery and style of lessons to fully engage both students in every lesson.
