I am married to a croatian and when we visit his family later this year I would like to at least communicate at a very basic level.
I am a beginner.
Th e area I would need to focus on would be grammer and pronunciation as I think I would remember the written words very well and what they translate to in english, its how you put it all together, which I am nervous about or I should say I think this will be my challenge.

I would like a teacher that is quiet focused and driven to make sure that I do learn the fundamentals of the language rather than by memory what the words translate too. I want to be able to become an expert in this language so I want to invest serious effort, and want a teacher that will take me there with all the available tools that they think will help.
Paymen t in cash is not a problem, I have a full time ongoing work in the IT profession. I have completed post graduate studies and now working on my 2nd post grad degree. I enjoy the challenges that study provide me personally and professionall y.

I am moving to Croatia and need to learn basic language skills by the end of September. I am a complete beginner. I would like to start in July. I have been to Croatia on 10 different occasions and my boyfriend of over 5 years is Croatian, born and raised, and so I have had pretty extensive exposure to the language. As far as my ability, however, my vocabulary is limited to greetings, some phrases, and counting some. I want to learn to speak Croatian because after 5 years of dating, I still cannot communicate with most of my boyfriend's family, including his father, and since we will eventually get married, it is something that is very important to me. I do work full time, but I am very dedicated to this and would find time in the evenings and especially the weekends to study. I would really appreciate some help!!
