I'm currently in Berlin, with hopes of learning German well enough to read and translate some literature and philosophy. Currently, I'm a doctoral candidate studying modernist literature and art. I'm just beginning to learn German, and what I've learned so far I've picked up informally from self-teaching and Rosetta stone. Ideally, I'm looking for something that might simulate an intensive course--a few hours a day. An emphasis on translation would be great, however, I would like very much to improve my speaking as well.

I am very keen in learning languages, I want to learn German for career and self as i have many friends in German speaking countries. I only know a little bit of german words but not for conversation level.
I would do the course in daily bases if possible to learn it faster and in short time. I am looking forward to b speaking german as free as possible in terms of speaking and understaing.
