I lived in South Africa for 2 years and 9 months and had afrikaans lessons while I was there. I think I am a low-intermedi ate student. I would like to focus on conversation, listening and increasing my vocabulary. I am thinking of having 3 or 4 hours tuition per week. Planned classes with some learning material or, maybe, following a particular book can be a good idea. As race relations are still an issue in South Africa, I prefer the teacher to be neutral in this regard.

Hello my name is chloe and i am looking to learn afrikaans. I am going to be going to pretoria to work and will be living with my boyfriends parents who speak afrikaans, i also cant speak another language and think i would enjoy learning.
I am at beginners level but am a fast learner and i really want to learn as quickly as possible.I would dedicate time that is recommended for my progress the more the better.
