I have just returned back from a year of study abroad in America. Over there in my Senior(yr12) year I decided to learn French 1 and enjoyed learning the language so much that I really want to continue it!
Hopefully in a couple of years when my french is more improved I would love to spend a year living over there to become more fluent in the language.
Over the year course in America my french teacher covered all this below:
The mes discussed:
- salutations
- Bon appetit: au cafe
- Les copains et la famille
- Qu'est qu'on fait: activites quotidiennes
- Le monde personnal: les objects (en classe, a la maison)
-En ville: demander un renseignement , les endroits
- Les vetements
-l'alphabet et les numbers
-Reg ular -er, -ir and -re verbs: meaning and conjugations
-irregular verbs: etre, avoir, faire, aller, venir
-Le futur proche: aller+ infinitif
-Q uestion words/express ions + formation of questions
- a + le/la/les and de +le/la/les
- adjectives: colours, personality traits, appearance etc
-possess ive adjectives
- negative sentences
-u se of un/une/des, le/la/les etc
I can also:
-wri te about what I do, what I did and what im going to do
-discuss what I want to do, can do, and would like to do
-describe what I look like, my age, my birthday and my personality
- describe my family and friends in detail
-desc ribe my house, neighbourhood and city
-ask and answer questions with a variety of questions words (what, where, when, with whom)
