i am a fresh starter. i havent gotten any books yet. my overall reason learn this language is so that i can become proficient in the arabic language. i plan on working for the government in a field involving terrorism and i feel that if i have a good knowledge of this language then i will have a better chance at excelling in my career choice. i have a few years to learn before that point comes i just thought that the sooner the better.

My current job requires interaction with people whose native language is Spanish and I would like to be courteous and make every effort to converse with them without the need to ask them to speak to me in English.
A lso, would like to learn German and French for future travels to Europe. Again, so that I might make at least an effort to speak the native language.

I would be classified as a beginner in learning spanish. I want to learn a second language for career advancement and to become well-rounded. The time I want to dedicate to learning spanish depends on the price. If i had it my way, I would learn 3 times a day.
