The reason I want to learn Japanese is only for personal reasons. I would like to travel to Japan eventually and would like to know their language. I also watch Japanese Anime. My proficiency level is almost zero, and it would be safe to say that I need improvement on all levels of the language. I would like to set up once or twice a week classes that are one to two hours in length. I would consider these classes as college courses and include the necessary seriousness. I am looking for a teacher who will teach me Japanese with any means that are necessary, and help me fulfill that goal.

I'm learning Japanese mainly out of interest and for travel. I've been studying off and on and with different schools and tutors, so I'm all over the place. In September I'll be in Ottawa for university and I would like to find a new Japanese tutor for while I'm there. I need more practice in my speaking and grammar. I'm fairly good with reading and writing. (constantly forget how to write some kanji though, but no problem remember how to read) I'm hoping to have at least 1-2 hours per week of lessons.

I worked in Tokoyo before, I was 28 years old and very unprepared. My ladies however were kind and taught me many words and shared fruits and drinks with me. My level is still very little. You should know I am difficult to teach becuase I learn slow. Please dont get frustrated it will eventually sink in. I like to one day return to Japan for work. I prefer a woman to teach me but will respond to all who contact me. I like to read and learn in romanji but I guess it is time to learn little bit, hiragana?
