'Why are you learning your foreign language?'
I 've been studying Russian music for a long time, and I've grown very interested in the culture and the language. I hope to travel to St. Petersburg one day when I have the money to learn more. And I'd like to be able to read in Russian too.
'Your proficiency level'
Beginner. I've bought a few of the Teach Yourself books by Daphne West, and I've been learning a few of the basics on my own.
'The areas in which you feel you need improvement'
Everything, but especially grammar.
' How much time do you want to dedicate to your language lessons?'
I' d like to have a lesson at least once per week. Maybe even two or three times per week. I've been having a lot of fun studying on my own, but I don't know anybody who speaks Russian, and I want to start having conversations .
'What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher?' Mostly, I'd like my teacher to be encouraging. I'm interested in both private and group lessons, though I don't know anybody who'd learn with me. I'd like to learn both slang and formal conversation.
