I have recently undertaken a German course in Germany at the B1 level and wish to keep up my German when I return home. I can read newspaper texts, articles from Der Spiegel and similar texts without too much difficulty. I want to improve my reading and writing skills to enable me to write in German to friends, express opinions on current topics and to become more familiar with the German legal system. My preferred means of learning is by email. The tutor refers me to a lesson or text, I study it and complete exercises and send for marking.
I prefer 'traditional' textbooks such as Russon's German grammar textbooks with the opportunity to do some translating from English to German of selected texts.
I don't care where the tutor is located as contact will be by email.
I hope this does not sound too unorthodox to potential tutors.
