Why: I travel in Asia a lot, Chinese is a common first or second language in the areas I am most interested in. I also am looking at some business opportunities related to importing steel items from China.
Pro ficiency: Very limited, I am currently enrolled in my first Chinese Language class.
Are as of concern: I want to learn reading and writing Mandarin as well as conversation.
Goals: First basic - rent a hotel room, take a taxi,
order food, etc.
Second - business related metal and recycling.
I am currently in a class that meets for two hours a week. I think I have time for at least two 1.5 hour classes, perhaps more or less as my life changes.

I wish to learn Japanese because it is my favorite language aswell as culture and I intend to visit there in about a year. Considering the difficulty level and myself not having very much time to begin learning it, I have not much knowledge of the language. But I am a terrific student and I am willing to learn to the best of my ability and would like to dedicate a reasonable amount of time into learning Japanese.
