I'm currently trying to learn Russian as I am planning on moving to Russia for a job, (Teaching English) and I feel as if knowing Russian, no matter how basic would make my stay that much easier and more enjoyable. I'm a total beginner with little known russian, however, i do know the cyrillic alphabet. I need improvement in every area as I know almost zero russian. I'm dedicate to spending about 5/6 hours a week to russian, as I have other commitmenbts as well. I am looking for a teacher who is willing to push me in oder for me to achieve my goals.

I used to speak russian fluently, i studied in Russia, Moscow for 5 years back in 1989. I am not fluent in russian anymore, can't remember the meaning of words either. I think if i start with small conversations i might bring it back. Let me know if you could help me out. Thanks

I am trying to learn basic conversationa l Russian because I am moving to Kyrgyzstan after the new year for my husband's job. I would like to dedicate a few hours a week to language study- our move is coming fast and I know almost nothing!
My ideal teacher has experience teaching Russian to English speakers and has a plan that I can follow as well as a book or guide that I can use on my own. As a former ESL teacher myself, I know the importance of having a plan of instruction and good teaching materials.
