I am learning French as a research language.
I need to learn the grammar and need help translating journal articles in French. Although I want to learn the grammar, learning to converse in French will help me remember the grammar.
A t the moment, I have a hard time understanding what French sounds like. I can read Spanish which I don't understand, but French is very difficult to pronounce.

I have just taken a two year engineering assignment in Morocco, in order to weather the rest of the economic downturn in the United States(I hope). The predominant second language in Morocco, and perhaps the primary technical language, is French. My first task is to review drawings from other engineering firms and vendors.
W e were promised French instruction as part of the package to come over here, but the next class will not start until after Ramadan (mid September). I don't feel comfortable with that. So, for the next 6 weeks I want to learn French as quickly as I can from a tutor. I plan to buy audio/video gadgets so I can use Skype. I assume I can get said items here in Casablanca over this weekend. I would consider joining a small class (2 to 3) on line if that is how it must be.
