I am part Japanese and I feel connected to Hawai'i. I was born on the mainland (States). If anyone has time even to teach me the Hawai'ian language through Skype whenever u can (at least twice a week), I would greatly appreciate that. Females only. To honor my grandmother and the rich culture that I come from, I havae a strong desire to learn the Hawaiian language. I remember listening to my grandma talk with my auntie (her sister), or the way she would speak back on the islands when we would visit for family reunions, and I worry now that she is gone I will never hear it again. I want to teach my own children, when I have them.

Good morning,
I have been taking Hula for 2 years now - I belong in a Halau in Orange County and I have also started taking Ukelele lessons. I only know few words in Hawaiian because of my hula dances. I would like to learn how to speak and carry conversation in Hawaiian. I am so in love with the Hawaiian tradition and people. I have been in Kona, Maui and Oahu. I got married in Oahu in August 8, 2008 and someday, I would like to move there permanently with my family.
