Eva, our daughter, grew up in China and has excellent spoken, written and reading skills, but we have been away for a year, and she has become rusty. We have a curriculum which she could follow, and she is also looking to get additional assistance in vocabulary review and to have fun (in Mandarin). We are looking for a tutor for the summer time to meet a couple of times a week.

I am a beginner in Mandarin Chinese. I would like to learn it because I believe languages are keys to discover the culture of a country. I know nothing about Chinese culture but it is ancient and very rich. I hope learning Mandarin Chinese will help me discover it.
After hard work and lot of practice I would like to be in a position to read and watch films in Chinese. I can dedicate 2 hours per week for a telephone lesson plus the time required to do teh homework.
The teacher I am looking for should not hesitate to correct me straight away and, whenever possible, add the cultural context of what we are working on. Once I have reached a decent level I would like to know which Chinese exams are avialable and attempt to pass them to give value to my learning.

To give myself more opportunities for my career advancement. I have had some job offers in the past but needed to be able to speak Mandarin so couldnt accept the job. I can speak a bit of Cantonese, but cannot read or write in chinese, so i want to learn Mandarin to a business level and be able to read and write in chinese.
