I have no knowledge of Cantonese. I wish to learn it for leisure. I can dedicate 1-2 hours per day for the lessons. Besides proficiency in Cantonese AND English, I look for a patient, laid-back instructor with an organized lesson plan. I would feel more comfortable w/ an instructor around my age group (20-30).

I am looking for a Cantonese tutor for my 6 year old son. Ideally, I would like 1-2 hour a week to assist with Cantonese homeowork or just to have daily conversation with him.
The teacher must be experience with young children. He/she must be engaging, funny and adaptable and be in tune with young children.

I am chinese, fluent in English with moderate but basic spoken chinese (Cantonese - dialect). I am currently attending University in health care studies. I am interested in improving my spoken Cantonese and reading and writing if possible. Since I am in school I am only able to dedicate approximately 2 sessions/week .

I am a beginner, and I want to learn Cantonese because I am really interested in the chinese language and am interested in visiting Hong Kong. In the future I may move to Hong Kong for business so being able to speak the native tongue there would be really helpful in my opinion. I want to dedicate as much time as I will require (I do not know myself right now how much time i would actually need, as I also have university to attend to, so I will have to worry about that as well). I am not too picky when it comes to who will be my teacher, I just wish for them to know what they are doing, to try and understand me if I may have problems, to be able to have fun at what they do, and to be a nice person is most important.

My proficiency level? hmm i wouldn't know what to rate it. I'd say beginner because my chinese skills are very basic I cannot hold a conversation with it.
I wish to learn cantonese in order to be able to talk with relatives more freely and others of asian descent.
A reas in which i feel needs improvement.. overall everythign sentence structure, pronounciacti on etc.. new words, slang words..
Ho w much time do i wish to dedicate? at least once a week, possibly more.
Qualities i am looking for.. somebody patient, knowledgeable in the language and is capable of attacking the teaching methods in different ways if one way is not working. Current and up to date and fluent in the language but also fluent enough to be able to translate chinese to english and english to chinese.
I have my own vehicle and can travel where needed for lessons.
