I am South African, but have been living overseas for many years and have not had the chance to learn Afrikaans. I want to return to South Africa to work for a period and now would like to learn Afrikaans to better integrate and relate to people. I have a few months free now that I want to dedicate to the study of the language. My level is pretty basic as I have never formally studied the language. However, both my parents speak it as a second language so I have grown up hearing Afrikaans. I would like a native speaker as a teacher.

I am a sophmore at a Saint Xavier in Chicago. I am at beginner the beginner level. I have never had an opportunity to take Afrikaans. I am an international business major as of this moment and I need to have 9 credited hours of a foreign language. I would like to learn Afrikaans because I am curious and I think it would be a great experience to work for a business in South Africa. In order to have time to study I am planning to become a part time student if this program works out. I would like a teacher that cares about the students success and who is not afraid to answer questions.

I'm a beginner for both Afrikaans and Italian. I'm very fluent in English and Spanish, but have never taken Afrikaans or Italian and was interested in learning. I'm interested in learning Afrikaans and Italian because it's a special interest of mine and for traveling purposes. I need improvement in grammar, conversation and/or all that apply. I'd like to dedicate a few hours a week to my language lessons. I'm looking for a teacher that can keep me focused/inter ested in the material. Also, one that will truly be able to help me learn everything there is to it - not just basic words and/or phrases.
