For the past 8 months I was living in Montreal, Quebec and studying French. I enjoy the language and the french culture and I am also interested in visiting some of the French speaking countries of Africa. Recently I have moved back to Pennsylvania and plan to be here for about a year before going back to either Canada or Africa to continue studying French. I would like to be able to continue my studies during this year and I am looking for an opportunity to do so with a tutor or a class. I am probably between the beginner and intermediate level, I am able to read and understand basic French, but I need improvement in listening and speaking skills, and of course, I have a lot to learn about the grammar still. Depending on the schedule and cost, I would like to commit 3-4 hours per week to instructed French study in addition to what I am doing on my own in order to study. The main qualities that I would look for in an instructor would be someone who is relational and very conversationa l in their teaching approach, because my main priority at this point is learning conversationa l French.
