I am moving to Vicenza, Italy next January with my fiance (he'll be my husband by then) and would like to be able to communicate effectively in Italian. I don't speak any Italian right now, but I speak French and some Spanish (and some Arabic). On my last visit to Italy, I could understand when people spoke to me, but I couldn't say anything back to them. I generally learn languages quickly and relatively easily.
I am willing to take lessons as often as the teacher is willing to give them, beginning in late May at the earliest, through to early December.

My grandparents were from Italy so it is more of a curiosity plus, I would like to spend more time in Italy in the next couple of years. I am a lawyer with a firm in downtown Dallas. I live just west of downtown in a beautiful residential area called Kessler Park. I have studied Italian off and on for 5 or 6 years and have learned a good bit, but need to take it to the next level if possible. I travel to Italy once or twise a year. Ideally, I would like to find an Italian college student in the Dallas area and meet him at my house on weekends for lessons. I would plan to pay something like $20 per hour for, say, three hours on a Saturday morning. Something like that.
