My work takes me to Japan often and I am the manager for some people there who are in my company. I have done some self learning and can say simple things, but i don't know enough to understand what people are saying. I am particularly need improvement in conversation, because I have not found a good way to study this on my own. I would like to do this by voice chat.

Hello to everyone, JC here. I signed up here for the reason of wanting to learn the Japanese language up to a level that I can safely say that I am proficient in it since it is in line with my interest. If there is a skill level lesser than that of a beginner I think that that is the level of proficiency that I possess at the present; I studied Nihongo when I was in high school but, sadly, all the memories of those lessons have osmosed themselves from my brain. So saying, I can't think of any particular area of Japanese language that I feel compelled to learn more than the rest since I think I need to improve on EVERY area. Nonetheless, I can only allot 1-2 hours a day for 3 days a week for these lessons, if ever I get to enroll in one due to my other obligations. Competence and a warm and understanding personality are the qualities that are paramount for any teacher willing to teach someone such as myself.
