I am currently a student at GSU. I am in my first year of Arabic at the intermediate level. I am interested in learning Arabic because I plan to visit the Middle East after graduation in the spring. I feel that I need much improvement in Arabic grammar and pronunciation . I am looking for a hands-on teacher who is encouraging and patient. Good evening.
I am interested in increasing my very basic knowledge of the Arabic language in order to better communicate with family members who only speak Arabic. I know basic phrases and have tried learning on my own with books and tutorials, but it is very frustrating when I have questions and there is no one to ask. I am learning Arabic to further my research abilities in the field of international public health. I am an advanced learner, having gone through Al-Kitaab volumes 1 and 2, with some native proficiency in Levantine Arabic. I would like to improve my general proficiency in spoken and written Modern Standard Arabic. I can dedicate no more than 5 hours a week to instruction. I am looking for a teacher who is well-versed with the Al-Kitaab series, can teach at an intensive pace and can incorporate advanced reading materials and writing exercises into lessons.
