I wish to learn Russian because I make at least two trips to Ukraine every year. Poissibly will be making more frequent trips or living there for several months at a time. I am a beginner in the language. I wish to have some conversationa l ability (correct grammer!)and be able to read simple documents.
O ne problem: I have a hearing impairment that makes it difficult to hear certain words. I realize it will be a struggle to learn Russian due to this problem, but I am willing to try. With proper feedback on my pronunciation , I think that I can do reasonably well.

I am a beginner trying to learn Russian. I am looking for a native speaker to meet once a week individually or in a class setting. My boyfriend is from Ukraine and his whole family speaks Russian. His grandparents speak almost no English. I have been using some CDs and practicing, but I know VERY little. I really want to be able to communicate with his family. I speak Spanish and English. I have very basic beginning proficiency in the Russian Language. I am familiar with the alphabet, can 'sound out' and recognize some words, and can recognize some words in conversation. I am learning Russian because I plan to travel there in December. I need improvement in all areas and am willing to dedicate as much time as necessary to become conversationa lly fluent by that time. I have availability of constant practice with my family. I am looking for a teacher that is patient and has experience with adult students.

I learned Russian in college, but that has been almost seven years ago. I don't know my proficiency level. Perhaps intermediate or just above beginner.
I am really interested in the language, and want to learn how to speak it more fluently. I want it for my own personal development and also for career advancement.
I need improvement in conversation and grammar.
I am willing to dedicate weekends. Also, there are certain Fridays that I have off, and I am willing to work on those days as well.
I just want a teacher who is patient and can help me better myself in Russian.
