My 5 year old daughter and almost 4 year old son attend a Japanese school 5 days a week 5-6 hours a day. They do not speak any English at the school, there are a few Americans that attend the school but it is mostly Okinawan children. My daughter has been attending for two years. My Son 6 months. My daughter has stopped trying to speak Japanese and I would like to try and get her lessons to help her with her confidence in trying. My son I would like to have lessons for to help him also, he tends to try very hard in learning the language. Can you help me find an after school sensai for them? Thank you.

My plans for the future include getting into foreign relations with either South Korea, or Japan. Instead of waiting until college to learn, I would very much like to learn one of the languages now while I am still in highschool. Unlike most high school students-I am 100% committed to this.
The level of my knowledge is definitely at beginner-I have memorized a few hiragana/kata kana characters, and have learned a score of phrases/words , but it's nowhere NEAR enough to get me by in a conversation.
I need particular improvement in grammar and conversation.
As for time-it does not matter to me. I will spend as much time as needed to perfect my knowledge.
Q ualities for a teacher I need would be patience. I need repetiveness and a teacher who won't get angry because I do not learn instantly.

I would like to learn to speak Japanese as I am fascinated with country and think the people are beautiful. I would like to live and work over there. I am a chef by trade and love Japanese food and so I would like to learn how to cook it properly.
I have visited japan on holidays but never lived there and I have never learnt the language but I am very eager to learn so I am a beginner.
I would like to have at least one lesson a week and plenty of homework to do in my own time.
I am a very easygoing open minded person and like to have a laugh but know when to be serious so a teacher with a sense of humour would be nice.

I have been fascinated with foreign languages since childhood. I became fascinated because I was also born and raised as a Buddhist and my mother spent a great deal of time around alot of Japanese people. This was very comfortable to me growing up and I travel to Japan twice a year. I am tired of my procrastinati on of learning the language and ready to learn. I have bought numerous online and cd programs to learn the language and other languages, but I think my learning would be more effective if I learned from an actual teacher instead of a computer. I am a beginner. I only know a couple of phrases of Japanese. I want to learn to speak fluent Japanese like a native speaker. I am a fast learner and believe i am capable of doing so. I will dedicate as much time as possible. A minimum of 1 hour a day is what i am ready to commit to. I would like my lessons and teacher to be of great quality with a love of teaching others.
