Hi, I'd like to learn vietnamese because in my work place 90% are from vietnam and they speak little english. I dont know a thing about vietnamese language. I could dedicate about 5 hours a week. i need a patience teacher who can also communicate through txt message as well as all the other tools they can use to teach me. Phone calls are ok too.

I am 3rd generation Japanese and cannot speak the language. My parents are bilingual and I would like to be able to speak with them in their native language. I am a beginner and only know a few words. I have no understanding of grammar cannot converse at all. I would be able to dedicate approximate 4 hours/week. The qualities I am looking for in an instructor are understanding of the culture, enthusiasm for teaching, flexibility in teaching methods, and patience.
