I have been studying Japanese for 3 years now and am looking to continue my lessons, either with a private tutor or in a class.
I have a serious interest in learning this language (speaking, reading and writing) as I would like to complete all JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) exams.
My preference would be to work towards these tests, starting at level 4.
I would like to have classes once or twice a week, and already own several books and dictionaries. I am also already fluent in Hiragana and Katakana and have been working on basic Kanji already. Main areas to improve would be conversation and grammar.
Ide ally I am looking for a teacher with a Japanese background.

Hey My name is Jacob Armstrong. Im 15, a student, avid world explorer (aka loves but is not always capable of traveling), and a huge fan of asian culture. No im not one of those teenagers who is just in for the kung fu and Manga, ive actually been in love with asian culture all my life and have a great respect for its history. Japan is my personal favorite, it intrigues me how a country can go from being a closed off community of people devout too isolation, to the epicenter of modern technology. All while retaining its culture and identity. I want to learn Japanese because when I graduate I am going over seas for a year to explore, and maybe if I get the chance do ESL tutoring (if I find a place to live near a university I will have alot of work, haha.). I think the place I want to visit most at the moment is the Golden Pavilion on Kyoto, but i read more everyday and my visit que is ever changing.
