I am interested in learning Japanese, mostly because I found out that I have Japanese ancestry and am interested in my roots. I've always been interested in the culture and I also enjoy learning new languages. I am fluent in English, however I do understand and speak French decently, as well as knowing a bit of German and Tagalog (Filipino).
I would be starting off as a beginner student in Japanese and I am most interested in conversationa l learning.
As far as time is concerned, I'd like to dedicate at least two to three hours a week to the lessons.
I am looking for a teacher who is not only well versed in the language, but also the culture associated with the language. I learn best through conversation and complete immersion and would like a teacher who teaches in this way as well.
