I have taken 1 year of Chinese before while in college, but unfortunately have forgotten most of what I learned. I very badly want to go to China in 1-2 years to work and live there through a job with my current employer.
I'm a relative beginner, but this is a dream of mine and I'm willing to completely immerse myself in Chinese in order to make it happen. But, I need a tutor first to help me with grammar, and vocabulary, particularly for conversationa l skills.
Na tive speakers preferred, as I would like an education for actually living in China, as opposed to one for business or tourism.

Actually, it is my daughter who wants to learn Mandarin. She does not speak Chinese Mandarin or any other Chinese dialect. She wants to learn how to converse in Mandarin. Every summer, we encourage our children to learn something new. Learning a new language is her new learning for the summer. She can dedicate 3 hours in the afternoon every Monday and Wednesday but since we prefer that she joins a group -- we are willing to adjust her schedule. We would like to have a teacher that is patient and understanding .
