I am wanting to learn Russian because I love languages, I want to learn all languages if I could but I wanted to learn one that does not resemble French, English whatsoever. So, I decided on Russian. I studied up on Russia, its culture, its people and the language, of course. I love it.
It is something very new to me, the alphabet, the cyrillic alphabet is all new, some same letters, some new ones but I love a challenge. Plus, I also have friends that speak Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, so those are my next steps. I'm in the midst of learning Polish and Portuguese too.
I am at a beginner-inte rmediate level. I know the alphabet, basic greetings, I know how to write the alphabet and a few words. I find it hard to write though. I have trouble with grammar, how to convert, when to change the ends of the words, how to change whether your're addressing a female or male. I would ideally like to have 2-3 lessons per week for 1.5 hours. I am dedicated to learning, and I want to devote my time to learning the language.
I would like a teacher who cares about the person they are tutoring. i want someone who wants to teach me, who wants to teach me to write and speak. I want to be fluent in Russian and I want for my teacher to want that for me too. I want someone who can commit and devote their time to teaching me. I would like to have 3 lessons per week, i know it's a lot, but that is what I want. If you are unable to make that, maybe you know of someone else who is available.

I would like to learn Spanish as I am moving to Mexico for the year and would like to have a reasonable foundation in the language upon arrival. I am at a beginner level but can understand the language quite well and am reasonably fluent in French. I feel I need improvement in grammar and speaking the language. I'd like to dedicate 2 or 3 hours a week to learning the language and I would like professional and individual lesson plans that are well thought out.

Hello, I'm currently learning Japanese for personal improvement and because of a love for the language. I've had a few official lessons but for the past two years I've mainly been self-taught, which is why I'm looking for teacher to improve and correct my skills. I'd class myself as an advanced beginner or low intermediate for comprehension , but I've rarely spoken the language so that would take some work. I want to get to the point where I can hold a conversation with a native speaker without too much stammering!

I am looking to brush up on my French before I take a position in Chad, Central Africa. My French is very rusty - I took it until grade 10 and then I also took the Explore program in Quebec City about 5 years ago. I am only looking for private lessons until the end of May 2010, probably about 10 hours or so.
