I have been studying Hindi on my own for about seven years. I can read and write Devanagari and have a fair knowledge of grammar, but I am very reticent to speak and practice what I have learned. My comprehension is also slow.
I spend about half of the year in North India and would like to develop speaking/list ening proficiency as soon as possible. I am looking for a teacher that has experience working with students who are shy or get stuck when asked to speak, someone who will be proactive and creative in helping me get through that block rather than fill the space or time with writing or talking themselves.
I am looking for someone who has a creative approach and who is willing to challenge his/her students to progress. If I find the right teacher I am willing to dedicate the time that is necessary to substantially improve my skills in the next three months.

I lived in China when I was young and had a good understanding of the language. I plan to move back in a few months and consider my level to be in between beginner and intermediate.
I will be taking a job in Beijing and will need to regain the language.
I need to work on conversation and business vocabulary
I would like to meet for 1.5-2 hours each session.
I would like to have a teacher that will push me and help me get to where I need to be in a short period of time.

Beginner. I find it very interesting/f ascinating and I know I'll use it for my future. Mostly all, pronunciation is a big one, so is grammar. I have weekends off and get off school early. Plus I really want to learn, so my 'freeness' won't really be a probably. Qualities I'll like a teacher to have would be... well understanding that I don't know the language very well, or barely for that matter. Also, I like teachers that know how to use their time well for learning but make the student feel comfortable with them at the same time.
