I am interested in learning languages because I plan on traveling and living abroad after I finish school. I have studied Arabic in college for a semester and traveled to Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. I lived in Tanzania for three months and can speak on an intermediate level. My Arabic is probably high beginner, I can read and write, but definitely need improvement speaking and listening.
I am also interested in learning French and Spanish, because they are very useful languages. Particularly French because I am planning to travel and work in Africa. I am on the beginner level for both of these languages.
I do not have a need to be extremely fluent in any of these languages, just want to be very competent. However I am very motivated to learn and will always be prepared and eager for new information. During class time I would like to have teachers who conduct the lessons not in english, and a lot of conversation in the language being learned as this is how I learn best.

I would like to learn Spanish so when I met other people that can speak Spanish I can talk to them in their language instead of looking silly and if I can learn this language I am also going to learn other languages I really want to travel I can only speak English. I really want to learn it!

Dear Potential Spanish Teacher,
My husband and I are planning to retire in Mexico in two years. Both of us have been learning spanish by listening to cd's, however, just this past October, we took a 2 week spanish emmersion course in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Th e experience was amazing! We both learned so much. We want to continue to build our spanish skills now that we are back home, otherwise we're afraid we will lose all that we have gained.
I was placed in a level 1a class and my husband was in 1b. My ability to understand spoken spanish improved over the two weeks, but I found I couldn't formulate sentences fast enough to actually speak. My husband fared somewhat better, although still at a very basic level.
We hope to take a weekly lesson together, and we're very willing to do homework throughout the week. Our goal is to become comfortably conversant in spanish.
Our ideal teacher will come from somewhere in Latin America as opposed to Spain. We are looking for a teacher who can have patience with older students whose brains might not be as agile as younger folk. A good sense of humour and the ability to make learning enjoyable are very important qualities in a teacher and we hope that ours would had them. Lastly, we want our teacher to have a love of the spanish language and a true desire to help people learn to speak it.

My name is Serene Dardari,I am an International Relations student,there for my Major reqires knowledge in several languages,so I really want to learn new laguages ,I love learning new languages I think it is vry exciting,I already speak arabic and english very well,I am fair in fench.
I would like to learn Spanish,turki sh and frnch mostly.
I would like to focus on grammer and conversation even more.
If my lessons are in person I dont mind learning anywhere in damascus,if not then I can learn online.
I am looking for an excellent and tolerant teacher,I pefere foriegners but I dont mind a syrian or an arab teacher with good language skills in one of the languages that I have mentioned.
