Hello, my name is David.
I am looking at expanding my knowledge in foreign languages.
I am looking at learning Russian as I have a big interest for the culture.
I know the alphabet, and I can slowly read limited amounts of the Russian language. I would consider myself a beginner.
I would like to start from the ground up, and have lots to take away from my lessons like homework and activities to work on and improve until my next lesson.
I would dedicate a few hours a day to learning Russian, as i am very interested in it and am wanting to start speaking/read ing (grammar & conversationa l) immediately.
The qualities I look for in a teacher is to have confidence in their work, and to have a set structure or path for learning. I would also want someone who is passionate about teaching - and who sets homework.
Northside of Brisbane location preferred , but will consider other options and willing to travel

I want to learn Russian due to previous travel experience and planning to re-visit this year.
I don't know any Russian apart from very very basics i.e Hi, Thanks etc...
I am only interested in learning words as I find the alphabet very difficult.
One a week will be sufficient for the time being.

beginner, met russian lady, corresponded via email for nearly 4 years, swapped 100 photos, just spent 4 weeks together [24 hours a day] in Singapore, she knows 100 english words, I know about 20 Russian words.
She also speaks slovenian [I think], I speak Indonesian, Malay, PNG Pidgeon and PNG Motu. We wish to be married. It was love at first sight for both of us nearly four years ago, we are inseperable.
To converse will her fluently is my lifes ambition.
