I am a 29 year old female who has a successful career in IT and Learning & Development consulting. Adult education has always been an interest of mine. The only language I speak is English (but I hope to change that!).
I have just returned from a holiday to Cambodia and I was enchanted by the country and, even more so, by its people. I have returned determined to teach myself Cambodian and return their to teach english in the next 18mths. I have long been looking for an opportunity to explore another culture and diversify (or perhaps just take a break) from my current career path.
I learnt french in high school but that's about the extent of my language experience. I am prepared to devote time daily and realise it will require at least 2000 hrs of study for me to develop a level of proficiency. At this stage, I am unsure as to what level of proficiency a foreign teaching organisation requires of its teachers. I'll need help and advice in all these areas and Brisbane Australia has no teaching resources that I am aware of.
I would sincerely appreciate and enjoy communication and instruction from anyone willing to help me along the way.

I am hoping to learn Kehmer. i have spent six months in Cambodia and hope to return. I have learned a small amount when in cmabodia, but feel I have forgotten most of it now! I would like one lesson per week, then would study independently also.

Are as needed: conversation, grammar, writing.
Tim e: 1-2 hours, as required.
Teacher qualities: Bilingual Cambodian and English. Able to teach in English. Ability to travel to Cambodia for 1-3 months, if required - not absolutely essential.
