I would like to learn Farsi. Why? I don't know; ever since I was a kid I have always had an interest in the language and culture. I had a childhood friend who was Persian who died, and that was what started my interest, initially. My girlfriends have been either Arabic or Persian, and I even have a tattoo of my name on my bicep in Persian (Farsi). I have always wanted to learn the language, and I decided to seek someone who could teach me.

I would like to learn Farsi because it is my native language and I may want to apply it to a business level as well. My proficiency level is low, so starting from the beginning would be good. I need improvement in all aspects. I would like to dedicate four hours a week. I am looking for a native Iranian who is poficient enough that they understand and can somewhat translate Hafez. I also woud prefer someone with teaching texperience.
