I wish to learn and improve mandarin together with my wife. We speak mandarin daily but it is inaccurate. We are both chinese but come from Malay medium school. By learning proper mandarin, we will be able to converse well for our career advancement. It would be great if we can improve in our conversation and learn how to read.
We are prepared to spend 2 times a week for the next 1 year to learn mandarin. We hope the teacher would evaluate our level and come up with a plan that is best suited with our level.

My names Joanne and I am 26 year old female. I have just spent 6 months travelling India and learning Hindi. I took as many opportunities when I was there in that I was taking Hindi lessons and speaking to as many local people as possible. However I would still say I am a definite beginner. I absolutely love this language and love India so stopping is not an option and been fluent is a MUST!
I would like to dedicate as much time as possible to learning this language and would be willing to travel, and have more than 1 lesson a week.
I would like a teacher who is patient and knows how to explain grammar as this is the area I would like to work with.
