I am currently studying a bachelor of International Studies and a Bachelor of Journalism. My carer ambition is to become a foreign correspondent working in the Middle East with the focus of also one day working the United Nations.
My study level for Arabic is beginner. I have never learnt the language.

I would love to learn French because, in two years time I an going to France and so far do not know how to say anything in French and it is my favourite country and would love to know how to speak it and am learning about the country. I will be starting an MBA programme in Switzerland in September 2010. While the programme is in English, I wish to take German lessons in preparation for international business in Switzerland. I hope to be fluent by the time I graduate.
I am a beginner with no knowledge of German.
Si nce I am currently on holiday, I intend to spend a large amount of time studying German. Initially, I would like to have lessons 2-4 times a week for about 45-90 minutes each lesson, but perhaps, this would change to 1-2 lessons a week after I gain enough understanding to self-study more effectively. I would like to reach a high intermediate level before September.
I am looking for a qualified and experienced teacher of German who makes learning interesting and can effectively assess my learning capabilities to adjust lessons accordingly. Lessons should be structured and presented with a logical flow. Sufficient amount of homework should be provided to assist with my learning outside of lesson time. Ideally, standard textbooks should be used to facilitate transition to when I start learning German in Switzerland (St. Gallen University). While I wish to learn High German, preferably, the teacher will also have some knowledge of Swiss German.
