I've taken a Brazilian Portuguese course before and also use Pimsleur's CDs. I need to practice talking as much as possible. Writing and reading aren't that difficult for me. I also speak Spanish as well, which has caused some confusion while learning Portuguese.
I'm able to attend classes once a week (or twice depending on price)for 1.5 hrs.
I had an awesome teacher Andre Franca, but he moved. A teacher that has a lot of approaches to teaching with either movies, music, etc will be of value. A positive outlook is always a plus!

I lived in Tokyo fo a year and completed a year of private language lessons while I was there, finishing the Japanese for Busy People book one. In the last 18 months I have lost much of what I had learned. I hope to regain my language skills and reach proficiency in Japanese in the coming year. I can spend one to three hours a week in class.

some russian language instruction in undergraduate studies, but this was long time ago. I'd basically be starting over.
I'd like to dedicate at least once maybe twice a week of live instruction with assignments to do throughout the week. So perhaps about 10-12 hours per week.
I need a teacher who is trained at teaching languages. Organized and efficient, and punctual is always appreciated.

I'm a beginner but I had two teachers when I lived in Thailand the last year and a half. I would like to live and work in Thailand again and learning how to speak Thai will enhance my changes. Perhaps 4 hours per week. Someone who is patient but will hang in there with me. I know a lot of words but it is hard for me to have a conversation.
