I have been studying Arabic for two years out of interest and love for the culture and language. I took 2 intensive beginner lessons at university in Canada, and one very intensive intermediate class at Hebrew University of Jerusalem which focused especially on reading. I then lived in Palestine for a couple of months and practiced my spoken Arabic, since up until then I had been mostly working on Fus7a. I would like to continue with spoken Arabic, especially with the Palestinian or levant dialect, and would also like to improve my reading skills in Fus7a, especially of the Arabic media.
I am currently thinking of taking 2 hours per week of lessons and doing up to 5 hours per week in extra work. I am flexible with this though, and will do what I need to improve my Arabic.
I am looking for a teacher who will be responsive to my needs and adapt to them, and who has a good foundation in Arabic grammar.
