My name is kayla, and i would like to learn mandarin.. It is a language that has always facinated me, and in today's world, the better you can communicate with a wide array of different people, the better equipped you are in many areas, including, but not limited to jobs and travel. i have tried on my own to learn mandarin from programs such as rosetta stone, but don't feel as though i am getting as much from it as i would from one on one learning with another person. ideally, i would like at least one lesson a week to ensure a higher rate of renention of the lessons. i am not sure what kind of lessons will work the best for me. i have taken classes for other languages before, but in a large class, there is a different set up from a one on one setting. regardless i am confident in my abilities to take in the information given to me.

I have a friend coming from the USA. He and his wife will need Mandarin lessons when they come next spring. Are you Taiwanese. They will need a fluent Mandarin speaker to teach them the language.
I would like to know how much it will cost per hour for a private tutor to go to their home to teach the husband and his wife Mandarin. They have no previous ability in the language. They would take between 6-10 hours per for a couple of years of study. They are Christian missionaries. .. so they are NOT rich American business people... they need a good discount.
