I would like to be able to speak fluent Japanese so that I can communicate with Japanese people properly when I visit Japan.
I have made lots of friends in holidays to Japan, but have been very sad due to the lack of communication caused by language barriers.
I would also like to study in Japan one day and the universities I am interested in require me to have level 2 proficiency in Japanese to study.
I am probably at beginner level with little bits of knowledge from my last few trips - but not much at all!
I am looking for a teacher who can structure the learning to my pace (as I have done classes before and found the absolute beginner place extremely slow and boring!) and probably one on one lessons.

i am intreted in learning russian as im looking at going there for a hoilday. I have been studing atuo books and reapting to best i can manage. Where i can do better is expanding my knoagle of the russian laguge i can prob fit it 2 hours or so a day. Hello Prospective Teachers,
I am learning Portuguese so that I can effectively study dance in Brazil, I visit Brazil pretty much every year.
I have been studying Portuguese for about two years on and off and am not a beginner, but I still have a long way to go - it is slow learning a language when you don't live in a country where it is spoken.
I need to achieve good conversationa l level Portuguese.
I prefer a teacher who uses recognised well respected text materials and who has substantial experience teaching Portuguese.
I hope someone like this exists in Brisbane! In the past I found a wonderful teacher through this site, but she has left Australia.
