I was supposed to be an exchange student to Brazil i 2008/09, and that was my first encounter with Portuguese. I found it rather interesting and was all pumped up to spend a in Minas Gerais as an exchange student to live like the locals, go to school, immerse myself in Brazilian culture and of course learn the language. But there were a change of plans, and instead I was sent to Taiwan for the exchange, but still met and befriended many brazilian exchange students. I started picking up little by little from them, and now I can piece words together, saying 'How are you?' 'I'm hungy' etc. I'd like to continue to learn this beautiful language, I hope to visit my frieds in Brazil these few years, and I'd love to spend a few years living there after my university degree.

I am currently working in kuala lumpur and will be here for a few years. I would like to learn Bahasa Malay because I think learning the native language of a country is an important way to learn about the people and culture. I work full time so I would like to have a two hour lesson, once a week.
