Greetings!
I have a keen interest to learn Portuguese (Brazil) for my personal interest. It's been my dream to visit Brazil and be able to communicate and speak with the locals when I visit, which will be somewhere either in May or August of this year (2010). I have been learning basic verbs online through a language site as well as with some Brazilian friends I have made online. So far it has been great but I find that my oral and listening skills are very poor. I write and understand written Portuguese better and for that, I would like to look for a tutor here to guide me.
My online friends teach me well but due to the difference in time, I am not always able to communicate with them. It has been almost 12 months since I first started and it's somewhat disappointing that I can't have a full on conversation with them unless they are writing me a note.
