My proficiency level in Spanish is intermediate. I want to enhance my ability to speak, read and write Spanish for personal growth, since my wife and I will be traveling a great deal to Hispanic countries. I want to concentrate especially on conversation. I have completed both of the beginning conversationa l Spanish classes offered at UNLV, enrolled in the graduate program at UNLV and just last Friday completed Spanish 213, which is UNLV's first of two intermediate Spanish classes. I've been introduced to present and imperfect subjunctive, as well as present indicative, preterite, imperfect, perfect, future and conditional. I feel my comprehension is coming along nicely but these have been classes of up to 20 people so it has been difficult to practice conversation.
I would like to be in a class of 3 to 5 people and would like to have 8 to 10 hours of instruction a week in person and I'm willing to put in an additional 2 or 3 hours a day outside the class. I am very flexible on time as I am retired, but I would like to start soon as I do have trip coming up in August.

I am interested in learning Spanish. I am thinking about transferring to Miami, and I am told English and Spanish are the primary languages.
I work Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm, close to McCarran International Airport.
I have absolutely no knowledge of the Spanish language.
I am looking to become proficient in the language, and speak fluently. I have tried using the at home tapes, but find I have a problem with inflection and the proper accent.

Hello! I studied Mandarin daily at a university in the United States for 3 years, followed by one semester at a university in China. That was in the early 1980s. I have all my old textbooks and began to go through them again last month, in order to prepare for a business trip that I took to China last week. I would like to continue to review both conversationa l and written skills, as I plan to return to China for future business next year or the year after.
